Epic Games has announced a September feature update for the Epic Games Store app. New features include fresh library display options, patch size optimizations, game time tracking, and kits.
The new version of the downloader offered users a list view of the library, a search function, alphabetical sorting and launch age, as well as the function of hiding the games you own.
The sizes of game patches have also been optimized: a set of tools has been released for developers that allows them to significantly compress the released updates. Epic Games showed the difference with a major Fortnite update:
In addition, Epic Games Store users can now track time spent on various projects. The data can be viewed in the options menu of the selected game in the library.
Finally, as you may have noticed from the last free game giveaway, the Epic Games Store now supports bundles that include multiple titles or specials.
Epic Games is currently developing a new store front page. You can browse popular games, filter by genre, OS, and features to quickly find what you're looking for.
The developers also plan to add an in-game overlay, thanks to which users will be able to use the store while in the game.
