On November 15-16, 2019, the international business hackathon Baltic Sea Digital Event will be held at the University of Latvia (Riga).

The hackathon is focused on the use of the following technologies: distributed registry systems, big data, wireless communications, industrial Internet, virtual and augmented reality.

Hurry up: online registration of participants closes on October 31, that is, TOMORROW, at 23:59. You have a little more than a day to apply!

Hackathon organizers: PFUR and MIPT on the instructions of Rossotrudnichestvo, together with partner companies: Samsung IT Academy (Russia), IBS (Russia), Qube (Sweden), CANEA (Sweden), Stockholm School of Economics, Association of Electronic Money and Money Transfer Market Participants (Russia).

It is important that the organizers pay for the participant's accommodation and full board. They will also send an invitation to make it easier to get a visa.

During the hackathon, in addition to working on the task, there will be lectures and master classes: β€œRise and fall of banks: how deep digitalization affects the industry”, β€œDigital twin of the organization”, a lecture from Andrey Limasov, curator of the track on mobile development of the Samsung IT Academy project, and of course buns and sweets from the organizers.

The nominations will be:

  • The best solution for an applied problem in the field of finance and trade
  • Best Socially Significant Solution
  • The best IT service project to expand the range of public services
  • The best educational solution, including gamification

Please apply soon! As already mentioned, the deadline is tomorrow, that is, on the night of October to November 2019. Then it will be like this: a week to complete the task in an online format, and then the participants of the full-time stage will be selected from the past.

And what about the prizes?

  • The main team prize: Short-term training at the programming courses of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with travel and accommodation paid!
  • Prizes in nominations: Short-term internships in partner companies and other valuable prizes.
