Sega has announced that the character model and Japanese voice acting of Kyohei Hamura from Judgment, played by Pierre Taki, will be adjusted for the Western version of the project.
Screenshots and trailers of Hamura have been temporarily removed from all official Sega channels. Updated versions of these materials will be published later. Recall that voice actor and capture Pierre Taki was arrested in Japan for using cocaine. Sega immediately suspended sales and shipments of Judgment in the country, and also apologized to players and partners for any inconvenience. When the hero is updated, the publisher will return the project to the store shelves.
Judgment is a crime drama with a deep story from the creators of the Yakuza series. Private detective Takayuki Yagami investigates the case of a serial killer: looking for evidence, interrogating people. Unlike Yakuza, Judgment has richer gameplay - you need to follow people, take pictures, pick locks and explore locations in detective mode. In addition, in fights, you can run along the walls, and not just throw objects of the environment and beat opponents.
Judgment in the West is still scheduled for release on June 25 on PlayStation 4.
