Back in January of this year, a team of eLeR enthusiasts Creative and Ifrit released a large-scale modification of Masquerade for the original The Witcher. However, then the creation was available only in Polish, and recently the authors presented an update and added English subtitles to the project.
The mod should be of interest to anyone who wants another story in the spirit of The Witcher. Masquerade has a detective story that begins with the usual order to kill a spirit. After its destruction, Geralt of Rivia learns that the person with the face of said ghost is still alive. The White Wolf takes on the investigation of a strange incident and learns about a series of murders. The culprit of these crimes is yet to be found.
Masquerade takes place on the outskirts of Vizima, where the houses of the dwarves and the camps of smugglers are located. The authors say that in the plot of the modification there is a place for intrigue and numerous references to film noir. Another feature of the creation of eLeR Creative and Ifrit was the addition of many secrets and mysteries. This motivates users to explore the available territory in order to find all sorts of useful things.
