The developers of the Czech company Avast Software announced the release of an updated web browser Secure Browser, created on the basis of the source codes of the open source Chromium project with an eye to ensuring user security when working on the global network.
The new version of Avast Secure Browser, codenamed Zermatt, introduces RAM and CPU optimization tools, as well as the Extend Battery Life feature. In both cases, the program's algorithms operate on inactive tabs (suspend web applications and scripts running in them, lower their priority, unload them from the computer's memory, etc.), which has a positive effect on the performance of the Internet browser and the battery life of the laptop. It is claimed that the browser now uses 50% less RAM and allows you to increase the battery life of your mobile PC by 20 percent.
Among other changes in the updated Avast Secure Browser, tools that are integrated into the browser to check user data for leaks and compromises (the so-called Avast Hack Check function), as well as advanced tools for tracking protection and Anti-Fingerprinting targeting, are called.
