Attackers Hacked Huawei's Twitter Account to Offend Apple

Chinese tech giant Huawei continues to expand its operations in Brazil, bringing smartphones and other products to the country. Not so long ago, the Huawei FreeBuds Lite wireless headphones were launched in the Brazilian market, and the P30 and P30 Lite smartphones went on sale earlier.

Attackers Hacked Huawei's Twitter Account to Offend Apple

On the eve of Black Friday, Brazilian users of the social network Twitter noticed that something strange was happening with the official account of Huawei Mobile Brazil. On behalf of the Chinese manufacturer, provocative messages were published, some of which were supplemented with obscene language. As it turned out, Huawei's Twitter account was hacked by unknown hackers.

On the eve of Black Friday, Huawei's Twitter page posted a message that Brazilians are too poor to buy the company's products, as well as calls for the construction of communism. The attackers didn't stop there, choosing to insult Apple as the American and Chinese companies compete with each other. Complementing the message with an abundance of obscene language, the hackers wrote "Hello Apple" and "We are the best."

Shortly thereafter, the offending messages were removed, and the company apologized, promising to punish the hackers. Representatives of Huawei announced their intention to conduct an investigation into this incident. In addition, the company promised Brazilian customers good discounts on its own products in order to increase consumer confidence in the Chinese manufacturer.
