ZombieTrackerGPS v1.02

ZombieTrackerGPS v1.02

ZombieTrackerGPS (ZTGPS) is a program for managing collections of GPS tracks from cycling, hiking, rafting, airplane and glider flights, car trips, snowboarding and other sports activities. It stores data locally (no surveillance or data monetization like other popular trackers), has advanced sorting and searching capabilities to view and manage data, and a convenient and flexible user interface.

ZTGPS is designed for KDE, but will work in other environments as long as the KDE and Qt libraries are available.

Key features:

  • Import and export GPS tracks in GPX, TCX, KML and FIT formats. KML support is currently limited.

  • Advanced search terms. For example: "Show me all the tracks marked 'Trekking' that climb above 2500 feet."

  • Automatic addition of flags to tracks for countries and regions (states, regions, provinces, etc.).

  • Charts and graphs for visual display of altitude profiles, speed, etc.

  • Estimates of calorie expenditure and effort expended based on other data (incline, speed, etc.).

Added in latest releases:

  • Added a map search bar and controls above the map panel. The search is performed on a local database and does not use online sources. The database contains the names of cities and regions, mountains, rivers and lakes, parks and forests, sometimes but not always in several languages.

  • The current filter is now reapplied after importing tracks, so they will show up in the track list if they match the current filter.

  • Improved slope calculations for low speeds such as cycling on very steep slopes.

  • Setting units for heart rate and cadence.

  • New icons for various types of activities.
