An unusual hybrid of a smartphone and Nubia Alpha watch was presented to the general public as part of the annual MWC 2019 exhibition. Now, network sources report that the device has gone on sale, and a 5G version of the device is expected in the future.
The novelty boasts a flexible 4,01-inch display from Visionox, made using OLED technology. It supports a resolution of 960Γ192 pixels and has an aspect ratio of 36:9. Next to the display is a 5-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens and f / 2,2 aperture.
The "heart" of the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 microchip, which is complemented by 1 GB of RAM and a built-in storage capacity of 8 GB. The product has a set of sensors for tracking the user's physical activity, as well as built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless adapters. Voice communication is provided through the use of eSIM technology. An integrated 500 mAh battery is responsible for battery life, which is enough for 1-2 days of active use of the gadget.
Buyers will be able to choose between two housing options. The black version of the device costs about $520, while the model with 18-carat gold inserts is priced at $670. At the moment, the novelty is available for purchase in China, but later it should appear on the markets of other countries. The cost and date of the start of deliveries of the international version of Nubia Alpha is still unknown.
