Red Hat has released its annual report on the state of Open Source in the Enterprise world. 950 IT executives were surveyed about their reasons for using open source software. Survey participants were unaware that the survey was sponsored by Red Hat.
Key findings:
- 95% of respondents named open source software as strategically important for their business
- 77% of respondents believe that the share of Open Source in the enterprise world will continue to grow
- 86% of CEOs surveyed believe that the most advanced companies use Open Source
