Vifm is a console file manager with Vim-like modal control and some ideas borrowed from the email client mutt. This version expands support for managing removable devices, adds some new display features, merges two separate Vim plugins into one, and brings a number of smaller improvements. Key changes include the addition of file previews in the right column of Miller; a macro has been added […]

Our Turkish clients asked us to properly configure backups for the data center. We do similar projects in Russia, but this one here was more about exploring how to do it better. Given: there is a local S3 storage, there is Veritas NetBackup, which has acquired new extended features for moving data to object storage now with deduplication support, and there is a problem with […]

I inherited this mess, starting with the shameless Zello; LinkedIn and ending with 'everyone else' on the Telegram platform in my world. And then, having hiccuped, the official quickly and loudly added: but I will bring order (here in IT)" (…). Durov rightly believes that it is authoritarian states that should fear him, the cryptopunk, while Roskomnadzor and golden shields with their DPI filters […]
Hello, Habr! For over 3 years, I have been teaching SQL in various training centers, and one of my observations is that students learn and understand SQL better when they are given tasks, rather than just being told about the possibilities and theoretical foundations. In this article, I will share my list of tasks that I provide […]

In a recent update (2.3-3ubuntu9.4) in Ubuntu 18.04, the normal operation of the DKMS (Dynamic Kernel Module Support) system, used for building third-party kernel modules after a Linux kernel update, has been disrupted. A sign of the problem is the message output "\/usr\/sbin\/dkms: line### find_module: command not found" during manual module installation, or suspiciously differing sizes of initrd.*.dkms and the newly created initrd (this can be checked by users of unattended-upgrade). […]

Portable mode operation is supported (output to the built-in […]
