You may have already heard about the annual Internet Trends analytical reports from the 'queen of the internet' Mary Meeker. Each of them is a treasure trove of useful information filled with many interesting figures and forecasts. The latest report has 334 slides. I recommend reviewing all of them, but for the format of an article on Habr, I present my interpretation of the main points from this document. Internet access is already […]
So, I encountered a situation that made me sweat, as I couldn't find detailed instructions anywhere. I created problems for myself. I left the country with just one bag, with my only device being my phone) I thought I would buy a laptop there to avoid carrying one around. In the end, I bought my first, in my opinion, decent MacBook Pro 8,2 from 2011, i7-2635QM, DDR3 8GB […]
The first stable release of the protocol for organizing decentralized communications, Matrix 1.0, along with its related libraries, API (Server-Server), and specifications, has been presented. It is reported that not all intended features of Matrix have been described and implemented, but the core protocol has been fully stabilized and has reached a state suitable for use as a foundation for developing independent implementations of clients, servers, bots, and gateways. The project developments […]
Several vulnerabilities have been identified in the MyBB web forum creation engine, allowing for a multi-step attack to execute arbitrary PHP code on the server. The issues have been resolved in the release of MyBB 1.8.21. The first vulnerability exists in the modules for posting and sending private messages, enabling the injection of JavaScript code (XSS) that will be executed in the browser when viewing the post or received message. JavaScript injection is possible […]
Mozilla has introduced a new logo for the Firefox browser and its associated services, as well as related projects. This, it is claimed, will create a unified recognizable brand for the entire family of products. As part of the rebranding, basic color schemes, a brand font, and separate logos for services have been prepared. Meanwhile, the developers have opted to omit any explicit mention of the fox in the logos of Firefox Send (service […]
Following the shell-operator, we present its older sibling — the addon-operator. This is an Open Source project used for installing system components in a Kubernetes cluster, which can collectively be referred to as add-ons. Why do we even need any add-ons? It's no secret that Kubernetes is not an all-in-one product, and various add-ons are necessary to build a 'mature' cluster. The addon-operator will assist in installing, configuring, and […]
The hyper-casual genre has taken over mobile stores. Some believe it will soon die out, but that is certainly not destined to happen in the near future. From October 2018 to March 2019 alone, hyper-casual games were downloaded over 771 million times. What makes the genre so successful, and is there anything we can borrow from it? Below is a translation of an analysis of the design features that make the genre engaging […]
This is the most useful article of all that you have read. Because it is about benefit and how to obtain it. My writing of it was prompted by a conversation with a highly respected moderator of one of the platforms where I publish. Also, almost every comment you leave on my articles has influenced this. In the meantime, nearly all that I see […]

Aircraft GTEs can be divided into: turbojet engines (TJ) dual-circuit turbojet engines (DJT) turboprop engines (TP) turboshaft engines (TS) Moreover, TJ and DJT can contain an afterburner, which […]
Mozilla has unveiled a new design for the Firefox logo and associated branding elements, as well as logos for related projects. The main goal of the rebranding is to create a cohesive and recognizable brand for the entire family of Firefox products. As part of this effort, a basic color scheme for the brand, a proprietary font for trademarks, and individual logos for different services have also been developed. The overall logo […]
By the end of the first quarter, the dynamics of Intel's financial performance in the server segment disappointed many investors. The company was able to increase revenue only in the area of components for cloud systems; in other segments, not only did revenue decline, but processor shipment volumes fell as well. Interestingly, even under these conditions, Intel managed to increase the average selling price by one percent, partly […]
