A new stable version of Miranda NG 0.96.1 has been released

A new significant release of the multi-protocol instant messaging client Miranda NG 0.96.1 has been published, continuing the development of the Miranda program. Supported protocols include Facebook, ICQ, IRC, Jabber/XMPP, SkypeWeb, Steam, Tox, Twitter, and VKontakte. The project's code is written in C++ and is distributed under the GPLv2 license. The program currently supports only the Windows platform, but work has begun on implementing support for other platforms.

Tor 0.4.7.8 Update Addressing Vulnerability

A corrective release of the Tor toolkit 0.4.7.8, used for organizing the work of the anonymous Tor network, has been announced. This new version fixes a vulnerability (CVE-2021-38385) that can be exploited for remotely initiated denial of service attacks. The potential impact of the issue on anonymity is also a concern. The problem can cause the process to terminate due to an assert-check failure when there is a discrepancy between digital signature verification results together and separately.
