Preliminary support for operation on top of the KVM hypervisor has been added to VirtualBox.

Changes have been added to the VirtualBox virtualization system repository, allowing the use of the built-in KVM hypervisor in the Linux kernel instead of the VirtualBox-specific kernel module (vboxdrv). The implementation has been prepared by Oracle employees and is being developed separately from the VirtualBox-KVM patch set supported by Cyberus Technology.
