Police switch to Astra Linux

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia purchased from the system integrator Tegrus (part of the Merlion group) 31 Astra Linux OS licenses.

This is the largest one-time purchase of Astra Linux OS. Previously, law enforcement agencies have already purchased it: in the course of several purchases, a total of 100 licenses were acquired by the Ministry of Defense, 50 by the National Guard.

The executive director of the association "Domestic Soft" Renat Lashin calls the projects for the implementation of the unified state registry system (USR) ZAGS, medical and educational systems in the regions comparable in scale. USR REGISTRY OFFICE works on Viola OS, it also serves more than 70 jobs in medical and 60 in educational government structures, says Alexey Smirnov, CEO of Basalt SPO, which develops Viola OS.
