The Yandex.Food service has begun testing a new service — the delivery of food and household goods.
Recall that Yandex.Food is a fast food delivery service from restaurants. You can choose from pizzerias, bakeries, restaurants of Georgian and Japanese cuisine, burgers, steakhouses and others. On average, the execution of an order takes about half an hour, and this indicator is constantly improving. The service operates in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Samara and other Russian cities.
According to RBC, within the framework of the Yandex.Food project, the delivery of consumer goods began to be tested. Customers can order food, household goods, and pet food.
True, so far the service is available only in one Moscow district - in the vicinity of the Babushkinskaya metro station. Here, Yandex opened its own warehouse for the formation and fulfillment of orders.
If the new service is in demand, it will most likely become available in other areas of the Russian capital. In the future, similar services can be launched in other large cities of our country.
We add that Yandex's revenue for 2018 amounted to 127,7 billion rubles (1837,6 million US dollars), which is 36% more than the result for 2017. Net annual income jumped more than five times (by 430%), reaching 45,9 billion rubles (660,1 million US dollars).
