The German company EKL AG, known for its cooling system brand Alpenföhn, has introduced a new CPU cooler under this brand named Brocken ECO Advanced. This new model is an updated and improved version of the Brocken ECO cooling system that was released over five years ago.
The new Brocken ECO Advanced cooling system features four nickel-plated copper heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm, which are assembled in an aluminum base and can directly contact the CPU lid. A fairly large aluminum radiator is mounted on the heat pipes. The dimensions of the new model are 149 Ă 126 Ă 93 mm. The original Brocken ECO was slightly narrower at 88 mm.
Cooling the radiator in the new system is handled by a 120 mm Wing Boost 3 fan with hydrodynamic bearings. It can spin at speeds ranging from 500 to 1600 RPM, generating an airflow of up to 50.9 CFM (86.5 mÂł/h). The manufacturer specifically emphasizes that the Wing Boost 3 fan operates at a low noise level, not exceeding 24.8 dBA.
The new model is compatible with all current Intel and AMD CPU sockets, except for the overly large Socket TR4. The manufacturer states that the Brocken ECO Advanced can handle cooling processors with a TDP of up to 170 watts. It is also worth noting that the new model does not feature any lighting.
The Alpenföhn Brocken ECO Advanced cooling system is already available for order in Europe at a price of 35 euros.
