Thermalright has updated its processor cooling system, now simply called the Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B. At first glance, the differences from the original model are hard to spot.
In fact, even upon closer inspection, it is difficult to discern any differences. The only noticeable change is the new black sticker on the fan, replacing the previous red one. There's also a change in the fan mounting design, but it's unlikely these modifications significantly affect cooling performance.
Otherwise, the Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B remains a dual-tower design featuring eight 6mm heat pipes, a pair of sizable aluminum radiators, and a copper base. It is cooled by two 140mm TY-143 fans with speeds ranging from 600 to 2500 RPM, an airflow of up to 130 CFM, and noise levels reaching up to 45 dBA. Like its predecessor, it can handle thermal loads of up to 320W.
Notably, the new version of the cooling system is claimed to be compatible with all current Intel processor sockets, including LGA 115x and 20xx. However, for AMD processor sockets, the Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B is only compatible with Socket AM4, while the previous version supported all earlier 'red' platforms. The packaging and mounting set appears unchanged.
The Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B cooling system will soon be available for purchase, with a price expected to be similar to that of the original Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme, around 6300 rubles.
