A domain is an identifier for a web page on the Internet. Companies can be found online by their domain names. For example, the domain name www.prohoster.info is used to locate the ProHoster registrar online.

A top-level domain (TLD) is the part of the domain name that comes after the last dot (for example, https://www.prohoster.info). There are various top-level domains like .com, .org, .biz, .net, etc.

DNS or Domain Name System is a hierarchically organized system of databases responsible for mapping domain names to their corresponding IP addresses.

Domain registration includes only the rights to the domain name you acquire (for example, prohoster.info) for the rental period of the domain, usually from one to ten years. You can set contact information for the domain, change name server delegation, and add records.

Yes. If you host a domain name with us, you can also create and host subdomains. To create a subdomain for a domain name already in your account, follow these simple instructions:

• Log in to your account
• Go to the Products/Services tab and select Domains
• Select the domain for which you want to create a subdomain in the interface, then click on Add Subdomain
• Enter the desired subdomain
• Choose a domain hosting option and click 'Continue'.

The duration depends on how quickly the Registrar transfers the domain name from the Seller to the Buyer. This time can vary from a few minutes to six weeks.

You can speed up this process by sending a request to your current registrar to expedite the transfer. The transfer of domains in international zones — .COM, .NET, .ORG, and others — takes 7 to 14 calendar days.

There are several steps after your domain expires to protect you from losing any domains you wish to keep.

• Approximately 30 days before the domain expiration, we begin sending you reminders to the email address you provided when registering the domain name.
• You will receive at least two reminders before the expiration and one reminder within five days of the expiration.
• If you cannot ensure payment by the domain registration expiration date, your domain name will expire.
• Just one day after expiration, your domain name will be deactivated and replaced with a parking page indicating that the domain has expired, and other services associated with this domain may no longer work.
• As early as 30 days after expiration, your domain name may be acquired by a third party.
• If a third party acquires the domain name during this time, it will not be available for renewal.
• If the domain name has not been renewed by you or acquired by a third party, the expired domain enters a registrar recovery period (as defined by each registrar) approximately 45 days after the expiration.
• If a third party acquires the domain name before the registrar expiration, the domain name will not be activated and will not be available for renewal.

The redemption period can last up to 30 days after the initial renewal grace period. You may still be able to use the domain during this time. The reactivation fee for the domain typically equals the renewal cost. After the recovery period, domains enter a 5-day deletion cycle, after which they become available for registration.
