Reliable data encryption
An SSL certificate ensures the security of information transmitted between the website and the user. All data, including passwords and payment information, is encrypted and protected from interception by third parties.

Trust of users and browsers
Modern browsers like Chrome and Firefox mark websites without SSL as not secure. Having HTTPS increases visitor trust and improves the user experience.

F.A.Q.
| What does the SAN prefix in the name of this certificate mean? | ||||||||||
SAN (Subject Alternative Name) is a technology that allows you to secure several completely different domain names with a single certificate. Unlike standard SSL, GeoTrust SAN allows you to include different FQDNs (for example, mysite.com, my-portal.net, and service.io) in a single license.
| How many domains are included in the base price of GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium SAN? | ||||||||||
The standard package includes protection for 4 domain names (1 primary + 3 additional SAN fields). This makes it one of the most cost-effective offers for owners of small website networks or multi-brand sites.
| Can this certificate be used to secure subdomains? | ||||||||||
Yes, you can specify specific subdomains in the SAN fields (e.g., blog.site.com, dev.site.com). However, if you need to protect an unlimited number of subdomains, it's better to consider the Wildcard version.
| Is company document verification required for GeoTrust SAN? | ||||||||||
No, this is a DV (Domain Validation) certificate. Validation is based solely on technical parameters of domain ownership. This allows us to issue a business-class multi-domain certificate in just 5-15 minutes.
| How does validation happen if domains are held by different registrars? | ||||||||||
Each domain listed in the SAN must be verified separately. You can choose the method that suits you best: via a verification file on your hosting provider, a CNAME record in DNS, or email confirmation (admin@...).
| Does GeoTrust SAN support Microsoft Exchange? | ||||||||||
Yes, this is the ideal solution for Microsoft Exchange and Office Communications servers. SAN technology (also known as UCC) allows you to protect autodiscover, owa, and your primary mail domain simultaneously.
| What is the encryption key length in this product? | ||||||||||
GeoTrust uses industry-standard 2048-bit key lengths and up to 256-bit data encryption using SHA-2 signature algorithms. This ensures maximum security against hacking.
| Is it possible to add new domains after the certificate is issued? | ||||||||||
Yes. If you need to change the list of protected addresses, you can initiate a free reissue. Your old certificate will be revoked, and the new one will contain the updated list of your SAN domains.
| Does the number of domains in a SAN affect website loading speed? | ||||||||||
Thanks to GeoTrust's optimized infrastructure and OCSP Stapling technology, certificate validation is instantaneous, regardless of how many names are included. This doesn't impact content loading speed.
| Will the trust seal appear on all protected domains? | ||||||||||
Absolutely. You can install the dynamic GeoTrust True Site Seal on each website listed in your certificate. This visually confirms the security of all your resources for visitors.
| What are GeoTrust's financial responsibilities? | ||||||||||
The guarantee amount is $500,000. This is the insured amount that is paid in the event of financial loss to the user due to a technical failure on the part of the certification authority.
| Is it possible to protect local server names (internal domains)? | ||||||||||
According to the current CA/B Forum guidelines, issuing certificates for non-public domain names (e.g., server.local) is prohibited. All names in the GeoTrust SAN must be public and externally accessible.
| Is the certificate compatible with mobile browsers? | ||||||||||
GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium SAN has a 99.9% compatibility rate. This includes not only desktop browsers but also mobile operating systems (iOS, Android), as well as various smart devices and payment gateways.
| Do I need to reinstall the certificate on all sites when reissuing? | ||||||||||
Yes, since reissuing generates a new certificate file (CRT), it must be updated on all servers that use domains from this SAN list.
| Why is GeoTrust SAN better than several free SSLs? | ||||||||||
Centralized management (single expiration date), professional technical support, high financial guarantee, and brand recognition are key factors that make paid multi-domain SSL a more reliable solution for businesses. |
