A new version of the system utilities package Util-linux 2.37 has been released, which includes both utilities closely related to the Linux kernel and general-purpose utilities. For example, the package features utilities such as mount\/umount, fdisk, hwclock, cal, blkid, fsck\/cfdisk\/sfdisk, blockdev, chrt, mkfs, ionice, more, renice, su, kill, setsid, login, shutdown, dmesg, lscpu, logger, losetup, setterm, mkswap, swapon, taskset, and others. <\/p>\n

The asciidoctor package has been used to generate man pages instead of groff.\n
The old implementation of the hardlink utility by Jakub Yelinak (written for Fedora) has been replaced by a new implementation from Julian Andres Klode (created for Debian). The new implementation does not support the '-f' option for forcibly creating hard links between file systems.\n
The lscpu utility has been rewritten to analyze the contents of \/sys for all processors and provide information for all types of CPUs used by the system (e.g., big.LITTLE ARM, etc.). This command also reads SMBIOS tables to obtain information about CPU identifiers. The default output is now more structured for improved readability.\n
The uclampset utility has been added to manage the attributes of the Utilization Clamping mechanism, allowing adherence to minimum or maximum frequency ranges depending on active tasks on the CPU.\n
In hexdump, the '-C' option is automatically enabled when called in the form of 'hd'.\n
New command line parameters \u2014since and \u2014until have been added to dmesg.\n
In findmnt, support for the '--shadowed' parameter has been added to show only file systems mounted over another file system. In umount, all nested mount points are unmounted when the '--recursive' flag is specified.\n
In mount, the '--read-only' parameter is allowed to run certain commands without root privileges.\n
In libfdisk, fdisk, sfdisk, and cfdisk, case sensitivity and characters other than letters and numbers have been ignored when specifying the partition type (for example, in sfdisk, type='Linux \/usr x86' is now identical to type='linux usr-x86').\n
The blkzone utility has added the 'capacity' command.\n
In cfdisk, the '--read-only' option has been added for running in read-only mode.\n
New columns FSROOTS and MOUNTPOINTS have been introduced in lsblk.\n
ioctl LOOP_CONFIG has been utilized in losetup.\n
In the column utility, the '--table-columns-limit' option has been added to limit the maximum number of columns (if the limit is exceeded, all remaining data will be placed in the last column).\n
