The release of the EuroLinux 8.3 distribution has taken place, prepared by recompiling the source texts of the packages from the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.3 distribution, and is fully binary compatible with it. Installation images have been prepared for download, with a size of 9 GB (appstream) and 1.3 GB. This distribution can also be used to replace the CentOS 8 branch, which will reach end of life at the end of the year. <\/p>\n

The new release is remarkable for its complete change in the business model, which will now align with the Open Core model \u2014 the core is free and open, while additional functionality is available for a fee. Previously, EuroLinux was positioned as a commercial server distribution for enterprises, provided only on a paid basis. <\/p>\n

From now on, EuroLinux builds will be available both as a paid subscription and for free. The builds provided under a paid subscription and for free are identical, formed simultaneously, include a full set of system capabilities, and allow for updates. The differences in the paid subscription are limited to the provision of technical support services, access to errata files, and the ability to use additional packages, including tools for load balancing, ensuring high availability, and creating reliable storage.
