A cross-platform library for creating graphical user interfaces, SixtyFPS 0.1.0, has been released. It is aimed at use on embedded devices and in desktop applications on Linux, macOS, and Windows, as well as for use in web browsers (WebAssembly). The library's code is written in Rust and is distributed under the GPLv3 license or a commercial license, allowing use in proprietary products without revealing the source code. <\/p>\n

The authors of the library (Olivier Goffart and Simon Hausmann), former KDE developers who later joined Trolltech to work on Qt, have now founded their own company developing SixtyFPS. One of the project's goals is to provide the ability to operate with minimal CPU and memory resource consumption (only a few hundred kilobytes of RAM are needed). There are two backends available for rendering \u2014 gl based on OpenGL ES 2.0 and qt, which uses Qt QStyle. <\/p>\n

It supports the creation of interfaces in programs written in Rust, C++, and JavaScript. The authors of the library have developed a special markup language \u2018.60\u2019, which compiles into native code for the selected platform. There is an option to test the language in an online editor or to review examples by building them independently.
