Google has released an update for Chrome OS 91.0.4472.165, which contained a bug that prevented users from logging in after a restart. Some users experienced a boot loop where the login screen would not appear, and if it did, it would not allow them to log in with their account. A fix, Chrome OS 91.0.4472.167, has been released promptly to resolve this issue. <\/p>\n

For users who have already installed the first update but have not yet restarted their device (the update activates after a restart), it is recommended to urgently update their system to version 91.0.4472.167. If the problematic update is installed and login is blocked, it is advised to leave the device on for a while to allow the new update to download automatically. Alternatively, one can try to force the update through guest login. <\/p>\n

Users whose systems hang before reaching the login screen, and for whom the automatic installation of the new update does not work, are recommended to press the Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R combination twice and use the Powerwash factory reset mode or the revert system function via USB. However, in both modes, the user's local data will be deleted. If the Powerwash mode cannot be activated, the device will need to be switched to developer mode with a factory reset performed. <\/p>\n
