The experimental branch of the open implementation of WinAPI \u2014 Wine 6.20 has been released. Since the release of version 6.19, 29 bug reports have been closed and 399 changes have been made. <\/p>\n
The most significant changes: <\/p>\n

MSXml, XAudio, DInput, and some other modules have been converted to the PE (Portable Executable) format.\n
Some system libraries have been included to support builds based on the PE format.\n
DirectInput now only retains support for the new backend for joysticks that support the HID (Human Interface Devices) protocol.\n
Winelib has improved support for MSVCRT builds.\n
Bug reports related to the performance of games such as Emergency 3, Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005, Path of Exile, Victor Vran, Diablo 2: Resurrected, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Project CARS 2 have been closed.\n
Bug reports related to the performance of applications such as ZWCAD 2020, DTS Encoder Suite, WOLF RPG Editor, QuantumClient, and PSScript have been closed. <\/ul>\n
Additionally, the Wine Staging 6.20 project release can be noted, which generates extended Wine builds that include incomplete or risky patches not yet suitable for acceptance into the main Wine branch. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging provides 557 additional patches. <\/p>\n
In this new release, synchronization with the Wine 6.20 codebase has been achieved. Five patches related to joystick support in DirectInput and COM initialization during window activation in imm32 have been translated into the main Wine build. The patches for eventfd_synchronization and ntdll-NtAlertThreadByThreadId have been updated.
