The release is based on the Debian 11 package base but comes without the system manager systemd and with eudev instead of udev. For initialization, either runit or sysvinit can be used. The default user environment is created using the IceWM window manager. File management is available through zzzFM and ROX-Filer.      <\/p>\n<p>The distribution is available in four editions: Full, Base, Core, and Net:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> antiX-full (antiX-21_x64-full.iso 1.4GB): 4 window managers \u2014 IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm, and herbstluftwm, plus the complete LibreOffice suite. The x86_64 builds come with 2 Linux kernels \u2014 4.9 and 5.10.\n<li class=\"l\"> antiX-base (antiX-21_x64-base.iso 774MB \u2013 to fit on an 800MB CD): 4 window managers \u2014 IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm, and herbstluftwm.\n<li class=\"l\"> antiX-core (antiX-21_x64-core.iso 437MB) \u2014 without X, cli-installer without encryption, but should support most wireless networks.\n<li class=\"l\"> antiX-net (antiX-21-net_x64-net.iso 176MB) \u2014 without X, cli-installer without encryption. An internet connection is required, suitable for experienced users.  <\/ul>\n<p>The new release includes Linux kernels 4.9.0-279 with fbcondecor splash and 5.10.57 (only x64 full), LibreOffice 7.0.4-4, Firefox-esr 78.14.0esr-1 in antiX-full, Seamonkey 2.53.9.1 in antiX-base, Claws-mail 3.17.8-1, CUPS for printing, XMMS for music listening, Celluloid and mpv for video playback, SMTube for playing YouTube videos without using a browser, Streamlight-antix for streaming video with very low memory usage, and Qpdfview for reading PDF files.     <\/p>\n<p>Other new features of the release include:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> The file manager SpaceFM has been replaced with zzzFM;\n<li class=\"l\"> The login manager Slim has been replaced with slimski;\n<li class=\"l\"> mps-youtube has been replaced with ytfzf;\n<li class=\"l\"> The service manager runit is used (only for the version with runit);\n<li class=\"l\"> An application installation program App Select has been added;\n<li class=\"l\"> An icon configuration interface in the IceWM panel has been added.  <\/ul>\n<p>Custom-developed applications available in the repositories:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> 1-to-1-voice-antix \u2014 voice chat between two PCs with encryption support.\n<li class=\"l\"> 1-to-1-aid-antix \u2014 remote assistant.\n<li class=\"l\"> ssh-pipeline \u2014 remote access via an
