The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has released an update to the Open MCT 1.8.2 (Open Mission Control Technologies) toolkit, designed for visualizing data received during telemetry collection from various sensors and information sources. The web interface is built using responsive design methods and can be used on both desktop computers and mobile devices. The code is written in JavaScript (the server-side runs on Node.js) and is distributed under the Apache 2.0 license. <\/p>\n

Open MCT allows for the display of streams of both incoming and historical data in a single consolidated interface, enabling the evaluation of sensor status, displaying images from cameras, navigating events using a timeline, visualizing any information, and utilizing various telemetry representations (tables, graphs, charts, etc.). The operator can quickly switch between different handlers and data views, resize areas, compose custom views in a visual editor, and move elements in drag & drop mode. The platform is highly flexible and can adapt to various applications, information presentation formats, types, and data sources through plugins. <\/p>\n

In NASA's mission control centers, the platform is used for visual analysis of mission parameters related to space vehicle launches and for planning and managing experimental rovers. For the Open MCT community, it can be useful in any applications related to monitoring, planning, analysis, and tracking the performance of systems that generate telemetry data. For example, Open MCT can be used to organize monitoring of Internet of Things devices, servers<\/a> and computer networks, tracking the status of drones, robots, and various medical systems, visualizing business data, and more.
