For users, the distribution may be appealing due to the delivery of fresher software versions, user-friendliness, high performance, a rational approach to application selection (one application for one task), self-sufficiency (no need to install anything extra), and the use of the Netpkg system for package management. The size of the installation ISO image is 1.2 GB (x86_64). <\/p>\n

In addition to updating the package base to Slackware 15 and using the user environment up to Xfce 4.16, Zenwalk 15 is notable for adding extra optimizations for Xfce, improving desktop functionality, supporting the installation of self-sufficient packages in Flatpak and AppImage formats, simplifying the installation process, optimizing size, and reducing memory consumption. The application panel is positioned on the side in a NEXT\/Windowmaker style, and the desktop layout is optimized for wide screens.
