The release of the DXVK 1.10.1 layer is now available, providing an implementation of DXGI (DirectX Graphics Infrastructure), Direct3D 9, 10, and 11, which operates through call translation in the Vulkan API. To use DXVK, drivers supporting Vulkan API 1.1 are required, such as Mesa RADV 21.2, NVIDIA 495.46, Intel ANV, and AMDVLK. DXVK can be used to run 3D applications and games on Linux with Wine, serving as a higher performance alternative to the built-in Wine implementations of Direct3D 9\/10\/11 that operate over OpenGL. <\/p>\n

Initial support for shared texture resources and the IDXGIResource API has been implemented. To organize storage of texture metadata along with associated shared memory descriptors, additional patches to Wine are required, which are currently only available in the Proton Experimental branch. At present, this implementation is limited to shared access for 2D textures for the D3D9 and D3D11 APIs. The IDXGIKeyedMutex call is not supported, and there is currently no capability for resource sharing with applications using D3D12 and Vulkan. The added features have resolved video playback issues in some Koei Tecmo games, such as Nioh 2 and the Atelier series, as well as improving interface rendering in the game Black Mesa.\n
The environment variable DXVK_ENABLE_NVAPI has been added, allowing for the disabling of manufacturer ID overriding (similar to the parameter dxvk.nvapiHack = False).\n
Shader code generation has been improved when using local arrays, which may accelerate the performance of some D3D11 games on systems with NVIDIA drivers.\n
An optimization has been added that potentially improves rendering performance for images in the format DXGI_FORMAT_R11G11B10_FLOAT.\n
Texture loading issues when using D3D9 have been resolved.\n
For the games Assassin's Creed 3 and Black Flag, the setting \"d3d11.cachedDynamicResources = a\" is enabled, resolving performance issues. For the game Frostpunk, the setting \"d3d11.cachedDynamicResources = c\" is enabled, and for God of War \u2014 \"dxgi.maxFrameLatency = 1\".\n
Rendering issues in the games \"GTA: San Andreas\" and \"Rayman Origins\" have been resolved. <\/ul>\n
