The Wine-wayland project has released version 7.7, which develops a set of patches and the winewayland.drv driver, allowing the use of Wine in environments based on the Wayland protocol, without using XWayland and X11 components. It enables the launching of games and applications that utilize the Vulkan and Direct3D 9\/11\/12 graphics APIs. Direct3D support is implemented using the DXVK layer, which translates calls to the Vulkan API. The package also includes patches and 'fsync' to improve the performance of multithreaded games, as well as code to support AMD FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) technology, which reduces image quality loss when scaling on high-resolution screens. This release is notable for synchronizing with the Wine 7.7 codebase and updating the versions of DXVK and VKD3D-Proton. <\/p>\n
