A release of the specialized Tails 5.1 distribution (The Amnesic Incognito Live System), based on a Debian package, has been formed, designed for anonymous internet access. Anonymous access in Tails is provided by the Tor system. All connections, except traffic through the Tor network, are blocked by the packet filter by default. User data is stored in a persistent mode using encryption. An ISO image has been prepared that can run in Live mode, with a size of 1 GB. <\/p>\n
The new release was formed not on May 31, as planned, but on June 5, due to a delay in the publication of the new version of Tor Browser 11.0.14, which includes fixes for vulnerabilities in the Firefox engine. The official new release of Tor Browser has not yet been announced, but builds are already available. Other changes: <\/p>\n

The transition to the new stable branch of the Tor toolkit 0.4.7 has been implemented with the introduction of overload control protocol.\n
The Linux kernel 5.10.113 and email client Thunderbird 91.9 have been updated.\n
The capabilities of the Tor Connection Assistant have been expanded, allowing connection from censored networks through bridge gateways to bypass restrictions. Before connecting to Tor, the computer's time is automatically adjusted to simplify bypassing censorship systems in some countries. The time information is extracted directly (before the connection to Tor is established) from the captive portal detection service provided by the Fedora project. The time displayed in the top panel is now shown according to the timezone chosen during the clock adjustment. Information about whether bridge nodes are used for the connection has been added to the screen shown after connecting to Tor.

In the Unsafe Browser, which is used to access resources on the local network, for example, for authorizing on a wireless network with a captive portal, a new homepage has been added that appears when connecting not through the Tor network and simplifies connection to the wireless network via the captive portal.\n
A warning about possible session data loss upon attempting to restart with the Unsafe Browser turned off has been implemented.

The file manager has implemented a call to the Kleopatra certificate management program when clicking on OpenPGP files (now a double-click is enough to decrypt *.gpg files). The Kleopatra program has also been added to the list of recommended applications.

The file manager now provides the capability to transfer files using the OnionShare application.

In overview mode, GNOME disables the search providers for \u2018files\u2019, \u2018calculator\u2019, and \u2018terminal\u2019. <\/ul>\n
