Google has released a build of the Rocky Linux distribution, positioned as the official solution for users who utilized CentOS 8 in Google Cloud but faced the need to migrate to another distribution due to the early discontinuation of CentOS 8 by Red Hat. <\/p>\n

Two system images have been prepared for download: a standard one and one specifically optimized for maximum network performance in a Compute Engine environment. Commercial support for Rocky Linux in Google Cloud is now also available, provided in partnership with Ctrl IQ, which supports the development of Rocky Linux and was founded by the project's creator.
