Support for updates and security issue fixes for both server and desktop editions of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS will continue until April 2027. <\/p>\n

Notable changes in the new release include updates to new patch versions of packages such as GNOME (42.2), Mesa (22.0.5), LibreOffice (7.3.4), Nautilus, NVIDIA graphics drivers, Zenity, GTK4, Network Manager, GStreamer, Cloud Init, PostgreSQL-14, and Snapd. Enhanced support for the RISC-V platform, including ready-made builds for Allwinner Nezha and VisionFive StarFive boards, has been prepared. <\/p>\n

The integration of the new version of the kernel, drivers, and graphics stack components is expected in the planned February release of Ubuntu 22.04.2, as these components will be imported from the upcoming Ubuntu 22.10 release, which will only be ready in the fall and will require additional testing time.
