In accordance with a previously given promise, Streetwriters has transitioned its note-taking platform, Notesnook, to the category of open projects. Notesnook is presented as a fully open alternative to the Evernote system, focused on ensuring privacy and supporting end-to-end encryption to eliminate data analysis on the server. Currently, the code for the web interface, desktop applications, mobile applications, common libraries, note editor, and extensions has been published. Once the server is launched, the entire infrastructure for note management across different devices will be able to run on user-controlled hardware. <\/p>\n

Login to the application can be protected by a password to prevent unauthorized access to notes if the device falls into the wrong hands. There is an option to create shared notes, including those encrypted with a separate password, as well as specially secured notes for storing sensitive information, such as passwords and access keys. <\/p>\n

In notes, you can include tables, task lists, code blocks, embed multimedia data and arbitrary files, and use Markdown formatting. For more convenient information structuring, tags can be attached to notes, color labels can be assigned, projects can be grouped, and parts of content within a note can be collapsed by headers.
