The main branch of the Epiphany web browser, developed by the GNOME project and based on the WebKitGTK engine, which is offered to users under the name GNOME Web, has added support for the GTK4 library. The interface of Epiphany is now more aligned with modern GNOME application style requirements, such as the removal of textured button highlights on the toolbar, redesigned tabs, and more rounded window corners. Test builds based on GTK4 are available in the flatpak repository gnome-nightly. The GTK4 port will be included in the stable releases of GNOME 44.
