Qt 6.5 will add the QNativeInterface::QWaylandApplication interface for direct access to Wayland-native objects used in Qt's internal structures, as well as to access information about the user's recent actions, which may be required for extending the Wayland protocol. This new interface is implemented in the QNativeInterface namespace, which also provides calls to access the native APIs of the X11 and Android platforms. Additional QWaylandWindow interfaces are expected in the future for low-level access to windows and QWaylandScreen for access to display output (wl_output), which are currently positioned as experimental and hidden within QNativeInterface::Private.
