Canonical has announced the completion of testing packages with the Linux kernel for systems operating in real-time mode. The real-time kernel package is considered ready for widespread use and is no longer positioned as experimental. <\/p>\n

Ready-made builds are formulated for x86_64 and Aarch64 architectures and are distributed through the Ubuntu Pro service for the Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and Ubuntu Core 22 distributions. The package is based on the Linux 5.15 kernel and patches from the RT branch of the Linux kernel (\"Realtime-Preempt\", PREEMPT_RT, or \"-rt\"), providing reduced latencies and allowing for predictable event processing times.
