The release of LibreELEC 11.0 has been announced, which continues the development of a fork of the OpenELEC distribution for creating home theater systems. The user interface is based on the Kodi media center. Images are provided for installation from USB drives or SD cards (32- and 64-bit x86, Raspberry Pi 2\/3\/4, various devices on Rockchip, Allwinner, NXP, and Amlogic chips). With LibreELEC, you can turn any computer into a media center, and working with it is no more complicated than using a DVD player or set-top box. The core principle of the distribution is 'everything just works'; to create a fully functional environment, all you need to do is load LibreELEC from a flash drive. Users do not need to worry about keeping the system up to date\u2014the distribution uses an automatic boot and update installation system triggered when connected to the global network. The distribution does not rely on the package base of other distributions and is based on its own developments.
