The release of the DNF package manager 4.15 is now available, which is used by default in Fedora Linux and RHEL distributions. DNF is a fork of Yum 3.4, adapted to work with Python 3, and uses the hawkey library as a backend for dependency resolution. Compared to Yum, DNF offers significantly higher speed, lower memory consumption, and better dependency management. <\/p>\n

In dnf-automatic (a utility that allows for automatic execution of actions like 'dnf upgrade', for instance, when called from cron), a 'reboot' parameter has been added to determine the behavior when a reboot is necessary (it can take values never, when-changed, and when-needed).\n
