The release of the Firefox 112 web browser has taken place. Additionally, an update for the long-term support branch \u2014 102.10.0 has been formulated. The Firefox 113 branch will soon enter beta testing, with a release scheduled for May 9. <\/p>\n

By default, the JavaScript API U2F, designed for two-factor authentication in various web services, is disabled. This API is considered obsolete, and instead, the WebAuthn API should be used for the U2F protocol. A setting in about:config allows for the re-enabling of the U2F API: security.webauth.u2f.\n
The CSS property forced-color-adjust has been added to disable forced color limitations for specific elements, allowing full color management through CSS.\n
Functions pow(), sqrt(), hypot(), log(), and exp() have been added to CSS.\n
The CSS property 'overflow' now allows the value 'overlay', which is similar to the 'auto' value.\n

In addition to new features and bug fixes in Firefox 112, 46 vulnerabilities have been addressed. 34 vulnerabilities are marked as critical, with 26 of them (grouped under CVE-2023-29550 and CVE-2023-29551) caused by memory management issues such as buffer overflows and accessing already freed memory areas.
