In the codebase that forms the basis for the KDE Plasma 6 user environment release, support for Wayland protocol extensions responsible for color management has been added to the composite server KWin. In the KDE Plasma 6 session based on Wayland, separate color management for each screen has been implemented. Users can now assign their ICC profiles for each screen, ensuring accurate color reproduction in applications using Wayland. Additionally, colors selected using the 'Color Picker' application are now converted to the sRGB color space and processed with respect to color profiles. One unresolved issue noted is the consideration of color management settings for X11 applications launched via XWayland.
