Unlike other AI chats, MemoryCache allows personalizing user interaction and utilizing specific user data in generating responses to questions. The project code <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Mozilla-Ocho\/Memory-Cache\">is distributed<\/a> is licensed under MPL. Installation in Firefox currently <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/memorycache.ai\/faq.html\">is supported<\/a> only manually through the &laquo;about:debugging&raquo; mode and requires the application of a patch.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/noindex> <noindex><\/p>\n<p>All components of MemoryCache run on the user's device and do not access external resources. The model <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/huggingface.co\/nomic-ai\/gpt4all-j\">GPT4All-J<\/a>, trained on English-language collections <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/pile.eleuther.ai\/\">Pile<\/a> (825 GB of data), <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/huggingface.co\/datasets\/theblackcat102\/sharegpt-english\">ShareGPT<\/a> (13 MB) and <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/huggingface.co\/datasets\/databricks\/databricks-dolly-15k\">Dolly<\/a> (660 MB), is used as the knowledge base in MemoryCache. The model <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gpt4all.io\/index.html\">is available in versions<\/a> with 3, 7, and 13 billion parameters. To interact with the model, the toolkit <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/imartinez\/privateGPT\">privateGPT<\/a>, optimized for working with large language models on local computers.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex> <\/p>\n<p>Memory Cache saves viewed pages in the directory &laquo;~\\\/Downloads\\\/MemoryCache&raquo;. A periodic script extracts pages from this directory and sends them to the privateGPT handler (ingest.py) to update the current language model. In this way, the model adapts to the user's interests and can be used to discuss the viewed content in a text chat with the bot. The user can naturally ask the bot questions about the saved pages, for instance, to clarify facts, and the bot will generate a response using the local model, without relying on external
