A new version of the Glukalka emulator is available for download. <\/p>\n

Glukalka — the only open-source ZX-Spectrum emulator for PC Linux\/Windows, Mac, and Android. Its ports are not products of third-party developers with varied functionality and weak synchronization with the main project. Emulated models: ZX-Spectrum 48, 128, Pentagon + Beta Disk Interface, ZS-Scorpion. <\/p>\n

The new version of the emulator features a mobile app. The development was aimed at phones, but the emulator works satisfactorily on 7\" tablets. The virtual joystick and virtual keyboard were designed for comfortable gameplay and to support various screen sizes of mobile devices. <\/p>\n

The newly added support for sectors other than 256 bytes and FDI format, along with some fixes in emulation, allows the launching of operating systems iS-DOS and CP\/M. It also introduced the capability to generate NMI (\"Magic Button\", \"Shadow Service Monitor\"). The ability to reset the sound coprocessor dump to a file for further editing or listening is now possible. More settings and features have been added, and disk writing has been accelerated. The emulator has become independent of any external files; it now carries all necessary resources within the launched file. <\/p>\n

The emulator is over 22 years old and develops sporadically, not very actively. However, it has demand and a specific niche.<\/p>\n
