It also includes the latest updates for several hundred packages addressing vulnerabilities and stability issues. Similar updates for Ubuntu Budgie 22.04.4 LTS, Kubuntu 22.04.4 LTS, Ubuntu MATE 22.04.4 LTS, Ubuntu Studio 22.04.4 LTS, Lubuntu 22.04.4 LTS, Ubuntu Kylin 22.04.4 LTS, and Xubuntu 22.04.4 LTS are also provided.       <\/p>\n<p>The release includes some enhancements backported from Ubuntu 23.10:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Linux kernel version 6.5 packages have been proposed (base kernel Ubuntu 22.04 \u2014 5.15).     <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> The components of the graphical stack have been updated, including Mesa 23.1.7, which has been tested in the Ubuntu 23.10 release. New versions of video drivers for Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA chips have been added.     <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> The versions of some packages have been updated, such as dpdk 21.11.4, cloud-init 23.3.3, and openvswitch 2.17.8.\n<li class=\"l\"> A build has been added for <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/en\/server\/\"   title=\"servers\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1552\">servers<\/a> based on the ARM architecture, where the Linux kernel is built with support for 64-kilobyte memory pages.        <\/ul>\n<p>In the desktop builds (Ubuntu Desktop), the new kernel and graphics stack are offered by default. For server systems (Ubuntu Server), the new kernel is added as an option in the installer. Using the new builds makes sense only for new installations \u2014 systems installed previously can obtain all changes present in Ubuntu 22.04.4 through the standard update installation system.        <\/p>\n<p>Remember that a rolling model of support updates is applied for providing new versions of the kernel and graphical stack, under which backported kernels and drivers will be supported only until the next maintenance update of the LTS branch of Ubuntu is released. Thus, the Linux kernel 6.5 offered in this release will be supported until the release of Ubuntu 22.04.5, which will supply the kernel from Ubuntu 24.04. The originally supplied base kernel 5.15 will be supported throughout the entire five-year maintenance cycle.          <\/p>\n<p>To roll back Ubuntu Desktop to the base kernel 5.15, you should run the
