After 10 months of development, the release of the standard C library Musl 1.2.5 has been presented, offering an implementation of libc suitable for use on both desktop PCs and servers, as well as on mobile systems, combining full support for standards (like in Glibc) with a small size, low resource consumption, and high performance (like in uClibc, dietlibc, and Android Bionic). It has support for all mandatory C99 and POSIX 2008 interfaces, as well as partial support for C11 and a set of extensions for multithreading (POSIX threads), memory management, and locale handling. Musl code is released under the MIT free license. <\/p>\n
Key Changes: <\/p>\n

The statx() function has been added, which differs from fstatat64 by having an additional flag argument. If the kernel does not support the statx system call that returns extended file information, including file creation time and filesystem-specific flags, it falls back to using the fstatat system call.\n
The preadv2() and pwritev2() functions have been added, providing wrappers over the similarly named system calls of the Linux kernel. The new functions differ from preadv() and pwritev() by having an additional argument to pass extra flags to the kernel, such as RWF_SYNC (flush data and metadata from the cache to the storage after the operation) and RWF_DSYNC (force flush to storage only the data).\n
Support for the Loongarch64 and Riscv32 architectures has been added.\n
The implementation of the clone() function has been brought to a usable state.\n
In the statvfs() function, the result is ensured to return with the type f_type.\n
Support for the TLSDESC (Thread-Local Storage Descriptor) mechanism has been added for Riscv64 systems.\n
The DNS resolver has implemented handling of responses with long CNAME sequences. The issue that caused some large responses transmitted over TCP to be discarded has been resolved.\n
In the mntent interfaces, support for escaping spaces in file paths and options has been added.\n
The snprintf and swprintf functions now correctly handle situations when processing numbers larger than INT_MAX. Compliance with the printf family of functions has been improved. <\/ul>\n
