The company \"Rostelecom\" has announced its technical readiness to begin commercial operation of the second phase of the new Trans-Eurasian fiber-optic communication line (TEA NEXT), which stretches 765 km between Saint Petersburg and Moscow. According to the press release, the high potential of the line has already allowed the company to utilize two fibers of the high-capacity line for its own needs at this stage. TEA NEXT will extend from the western to the eastern borders of Russia, linking major cities and providing access to Russia's borders with Mongolia and China, as well as to the landing station in Nakhodka. Domestic production components are used to implement the project. In the completed sections of the TEA NEXT line from Idrica to Torzhok and from Moscow to Saint Petersburg, the company offers dark fibers and 100 Gbps channels for lease, along with the possibility of placing customers' active equipment along the fiber-optic route.
