Quietly and unnoticed, version 1.32.1 of the multi-system game console emulator Mednafen has been released. Mednafen uses various 'cores' to emulate game systems, consolidating everything into a single shell with a minimalist OSD interface, online gameplay capability, and a wide range of settings.<\/p>\n
Version 1.32.1 fixes issues with loading CloneCD image files and WOZ files for Apple 2 from uncompressed zip archives, as well as a workaround for a GCC bug that breaks the rasterization code of Saturn VDP1 when compiled with certain flags.<\/p>\n
Version 1.32.1 is a minor update for the unstable but major version 1.32-UNSTABLE, the change log of which is much richer. Here are the main highlights:<\/p>\n

To exit Mednafen, now only F12 is used by default (previously it could also be closed by pressing Esc), while Esc now closes the console or the text window for online gameplay.<\/li>\n
A command-line argument -ovconfig has been added for global overriding of settings loaded from mednafen.cfg or specified in the command line, but which in turn can be overridden by more specific per-module and per-game configs.<\/li>\n
Fixed a data alignment issue that caused video playback in QuickTime format using the CSCD codec (by default) to break with certain combinations of video settings and emulation modules.<\/li>\n
The setting «input.grab.strategy» (default value «full») has been added, which can be set to «auto» to enable minimal capture of the system's keyboard and\/or mouse when input capture is on, depending on the emulation of virtual keyboard and\/or virtual mouse\/trackball device.<\/li>\n
Support for Windows 2000 has been restored, a Windows-specific fatal startup error has been fixed, and the behavior of Alt+Tab and AltGr capture has been modified in the build for Windows.<\/li>\n

For PS1<\/strong> Support for the Pop\u2019n Music controller from Konami has been added.<\/li>\n
For SNES-Faust<\/strong> Distorted graphics in «Marvelous» and «Bishoujo Janshi Suchie-Pai» have been fixed, as well as a graphical glitch causing black lines in «Wordtris». CPU writing to VRAM has also been blocked, which resolved visual glitches in certain moments of «Mazinger Z», «NBA Pro Basketball: Bulls vs Blazers», «Shin Nihon Pro Wrestling: Chou Senshi in Tokyo Dome», and «Zen-Nihon Pro Wres». This change may break some old ROM hacks.<\/li>\n
For Sega Saturn<\/strong> Stutters in «Gal Jan», «Kanzen Chuukei Pro Yakyuu Greatest Nine», the American version of «Creature Shock: Special Edition», and the European versions of «Magic Carpet», «Manx TT SuperBike», and «Revolution X» have been fixed, along with a visual glitch with red shadows in the first battle of the final episode of «Sakura Taisen». Support for loading ROM cartridge images up to 48 MB with the .ss extension has been added, and support for routing MIDI output from SCSP to stdout has been added for outputting debug text by changing the value of the new setting «ss.midi» to «stdout».<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
