An experimental release of the open implementation of the Win32 API \u2014 Wine 9.8 has taken place. Since the release of 9.7, 22 bug reports have been closed and 209 changes have been made. <\/p>\n

Bug reports related to the functionality of the following applications have been closed: Solid Edge, Microsoft Office 97 installer, Lotus Approach, gldriverquery.exe, Radiosure, SimSig, iZotope Product Portal, VTFEdit, Across Lite, Falcon BMS, Corsair iCUE 4, HWMonitor 1.53, vcrun2008. <\/li>\n
Bug reports related to the functionality of the following games have been closed: Battle.net launcher, Recettear. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Furthermore, the Wine Staging 9.8 release has been formed, providing extended builds of Wine that include not fully ready or risky patches, which are not suitable for inclusion in the main Wine branch yet. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging offers 430 additional patches. In the new Wine Staging release, synchronization with the Wine 9.8 codebase and vkd3d has been achieved. A patch implementing the ID3DXEffect::SetRawValue method in Direct3D 9 has been added. The vkd3d-latest, odbc-remove-unixodbc, and ddraw-GetPickRecords patches have been updated. <\/p>\n
The main Wine codebase has incorporated 6 patches, 5 of which relate to enhancing the functionality of the Wine Interface Definition Language (WIDL), while one allows for the building of the stdole32.tlb library with the flag \u2018--oldtlb\u2019.
