On May 1st, version 9.4 of the RHEL distribution was released. According to the company, it focuses on simplifying operations and management of cloud computing, including the involvement of AI, and automating various processes. This is an attempt to meet the expectations of the majority of their clients, 88% of whom recently noted a sharp increase in the complexity of their computing systems and their management.<\/p>\n

Supported Architectures:
\u2014 AMD and Intel 64-bit (x86-64-v2);
\u2014 64-bit ARM (ARMv8.0-A);
\u2014 IBM Power Systems, Little Endian (POWER9);
\u2014 64-bit IBM Z (z14).<\/p>\n

Among the technologies that have been deprecated, support for NVDIMM, SHA-1, SCP, libdb, linking with 32-bit versions of multilibs, and Motif can be highlighted. Even GTK2 and Libre Office, along with a host of other items, will be available in this release for the last time. For LO, the RHEL developers recommend using flatpak or official RPM packages from the project developers in the future.<\/p>\n
