SiPearl has clarified the specifications of its Rhea1 server Arm processors, which will be used, among other things, in the first European exaflop supercomputer JUPITER, although the main chips in this system will still be the hybrid NVIDIA GH200 accelerators. At the same time, SiPearl has again shifted the timeline for the Rhea1 release \u2014 initially, the first samples were expected to be presented in 2022, but now the company speaks of 2025. However, the design of the processors has not changed significantly. They will feature 80 Arm Neoverse V1 (Zeus) cores, which were introduced back in spring 2020. Each core is equipped with two SVE-256 SIMD blocks, which support, among other things, BF16 operations. The LLC size is 160 MB. The internal bus used is Neoverse CMN-700. For external connectivity, there are 104 PCIe 5.0 lanes: six x16 + two x4. There is no direct mention of support for multi-chip configurations.
