In a recently published post titled «Ubuntu Desktop\u2019s 24.10 Dev Cycle — The Roadmap», Oliver Smith discussed that the developers plan to make Wayland the default graphics server for all users. Starting from Ubuntu version 24.10, it will be available for NVIDIA graphics cards.<\/p>\n

Developers also added that incorporating Wayland into interim releases will help them find and resolve issues that may arise during the transition to Wayland, which in turn will aid in releasing a stable version of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.<\/p>\n
